Barn Demolition
The day has finally come—it's time to demolish the three old barns on our property. These barns, which we estimate are around 80 years old, have certainly stood the test of time, but they're beyond repair and must make way for our future plans. We kicked off the demolition project in mid-May 2024, rolling up our sleeves and diving headfirst into the work.
Demolishing structures with so much history wasn't easy. Every board and beam we removed held decades of stories, echoing the past generations who used this land long before us. Over the weeks, we carefully dismantled each barn, taking the time to salvage anything useful or memorable. It was hard work, but incredibly satisfying to see progress each day.
By the time we wrapped up the project, we had filled several dumpsters, and the final bill came in at a notable expense—but worth every penny. The demolition was completed in late May, marking a significant milestone on our journey toward transforming our land. With the barns now removed, our vision for the property feels even more within reach. We can't wait to see what comes next and share every step along the way with you!
