Chris and Mara's story began in 2018 when their paths crossed online in the virtual landscapes of World of Warcraft. Despite the physical distance—Chris in West Virginia and Mara in Florida—their connection quickly blossomed into something special. After a brief long-distance relationship, Mara, accompanied by her beloved horse Sombra, made the leap and relocated to West Virginia, beginning an exciting new chapter together.

In the fall of 2020, Chris and Mara exchanged vows, officially uniting their lives. Driven by their shared dreams, they envisioned a place where their passions could thrive. In May 2021, Mara made the heartfelt decision to send Sombra back to Florida to her breeder on lease, allowing Sombra to have two beautiful foals and enabling Mara and Chris to save toward their dream property. This decision paved the way for the creation of Silvermoon Stable, their own personal haven nestled in the scenic beauty of West Virginia.

By day, Chris and Mara both work as IT professionals, bringing their dedication and precision from the tech world to every aspect of their lives. By night, they continue their shared passion for gaming, enjoying adventures in virtual worlds together.

Outside their professional and gaming lives, Mara is deeply passionate about dressage and trail riding, cherishing the tranquility of exploring nature on horseback. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, and nurturing her diverse family of animals. Chris, meanwhile, finds joy in gaming and working on cars—a passion soon to be fully realized with plans to build a garage complete with a lift on their property.

Their family is rounded out by two vibrant European starlings, lovingly rescued by Mara, adding charm and endless personality to their household.
